Billhop, the leading B2B card-enablement platform, is pleased to announce that it has been granted approval to be an Authorised Payment Institution by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
The authorisation marks an important milestone in Billhop’s growth strategy, reinforcing its role as a key provider of innovative payment services to Enterprise customers across Europe and the UK as they navigate the new, post-Brexit payments landscape.
The license enables Billhop to continue its local operations, now as an Authorised Payment Institution (API), under the new UK regulatory framework and serves to validate its steadfast commitment and adherance to industry-wide compliance guidelines and business excellence.
“Being awarded the regulatory license by the Financial Conduct Authority is a testament to our stringent policies and procedures as a regulated payment institution. It enables us to keep servicing UK domiciled enterprise customers as well as continuing to deliver to our partners in the United Kingdom…" said Giorgio Giurdanella, Managing Director of Billhop UK Limited.
The new domestic license enables an expanding network of UK partners and customers to fully utilise Billhop’s innovative portfolio of platform services and capitalise on existing global coverage capabilities.
